I use topper sets and card kits from companies like Hunkydory, Kanban (now sadly defunct) etc.
Heat embossing
I use both a heat embossing tool and a Heat It embossing gun (which looks like a little hair dryer and has two temperature settings),
I have Heat It Up! embossing powders. As I add pages to my blog I will list the colours I have used.

Ribbon
I tend to buy my ribbon from Country Baskets (see my page for 'Useful Links') however I also liberate ribbon from things I am given such as chocolates. I have found the perfect tool for 'ironing' this is a cheap small hair straightener. I bought mine from Tesco Homeplus in a sale after Christmas.
There are lots of methods to tie a perfect bow. I use a Papermania Bowmaker. There is also one included as part of the Crafter's Companion Ultimate Pro. I made myself one using big nails and a cork sanding block and for narrow ribbon a fork is ideal (see you tube).
Silhouette SD
This is the older A4 version, The current model is the Silhouette Cameo which will take paper 12in x 12in. It is a cutting machine that will cut SVG files. This is the introduction as copied from their website 'Silhouette electronic cutting machines can cut a wide variety of materials including paper, vinyl, cardstock, fabric, heat transfer material, and so much more. With the included Silhouette Studio® software, you're able to create and cut your own designs and use the fonts already installed on your computer. There are also tens of thousands of great designs available through the ever-growing Silhouette Online Store.' It is a doddle to use and I love it. Although mine is older it runs the new software and I get all the updates for free.
Scoring Board
There are many scoring board options and I own several of different sizes. There are two I use most often - the Crafter's Companion Top Score Board (A4) and the Hougie Board (12in x 12in). The Top Score Board is divided into useful fold lengths for folding cards etc whereas the Hougie board has equal metric or imperial divisions. They all seem to come with the folding tool but I find a slightly thicker 'bone' folder better,
Serif Page Plus
This is a graphics programme somewhat like MSPublisher but I think it has more features and is easier to use. I have several Serif products which all work from the same template so once you can use one of them you can use them all. my absolute favourite is Serif Craft Artist 2, a digital crafting programme, which I used to create the background to my blog.
Printable Acetate
This is expensive stuff but great for creating effects. It is rough on the printable side so is not suitable if what you want is a glass clear finish. I get mine from Staples by the boxful but smaller packets are available from many craft sites.
